Bangladesh is the 7th most populous country in the world with a population of over 158 million. Bangladesh currently has over 2.2 million CDMA subscribers. EV-DO Rev A was launched in August 2009 with subscribers reaching 50,000 as of the end of September 2010. Bangladesh has been identified by Goldman Sachs investment bank as having a high potential of becoming one of the world's largest economies in the 21st century.
OMH was launched in Bangladesh in April 2010 with operator Citycell, setting the stage for OMH devices to begin arriving in market. The first OMH devices in the Bangladesh market are the Micromax C 350 and the Intex IN 80.
