SIM card vendors have a huge opportunity with OMH to expand their product offerings to include OMH SIM products and offer value to CDMA subscribers. The OMH SIMs allow subscribers the freedom and flexibility to easily upgrade their mobile devices. OMH opens up new markets for OMH SIM vendors.

Expanded Product Line: Operators are planning to add more services and applications on the OMH SIM cards. This is an opportunity for OMH SIM vendors to expand their product lines.
Many SIM providers are taking advantage of the opportunity to offer OMH SIMs to operators and thereby are expanding their reach in the marketplace. The following SIM card vendors have OMH products:

Open Market Handsets (OMH) is a CDG industry initiative focused on expanding access to a variety of CDMA handsets through open handset distribution. This open access is achieved through independence of OMH devices from operator-specific provisioning.

- An OMH device exhibits proven quality, performance, and interoperability. One-time standards-based testing provides device certification for all OMH operators and markets.
Many Qualcomm chipsets support Open Market Handset features.
